*place value- counting tens and ones

*counting pennies, nickels and dimes
*odd and even numbers
*addition and subtraction to 10
*math tiles
*tally marks
*graphs

 Reading/Spelling/Writing

*reading centers daily (reading group,
  computers/ipads, listening center, and
  learning game center)
*December monthly reading sheets
  were sent home on Dec. 1.  These may
  be returned after Christmas vacation.
*retelling a story by thinking about
  what happened in the beginning,
  middle and ending
 *writing neatly and using the lines
   correctly
*including information in our written
  stories to tell who, what, when,
  where and why
*the author/illustrator  Jan Brett
*the sound of letter y when it comes at
  the end of a word- as in bunny
  and spy
*clapping syllables in a word

          Social Studies/Science
*polar animals
    *being a bucket filler  (character education)
Personal Safety Awareness Program began Dec. 3 with presentations by teachers, law enforcement, and Horizons. This program shared general information to help students to be aware and feel secure.
